This specimen was mined by hand with zero machinery, cleansed with oxalic acid (a non-caustic natural acid that’s created from spinach!) and then neutralized with baking soda water. Each Colombian Quartz cluster is unique in its shape and markings; this particular specimen, A5, displays these special qualities: a key marking, which is a 6-sided impression that looks like a keyhole in the crystal. Key markings are said to help you unlock or access hidden information that needs to come to the surface. It also features manganese inclusions, which are black, dark or metallic gray elements within the crystal. Manganese has a very grounding effect like Black Obsidian, Onyx, and other dark or black crystals have.
