Copal Resin

There's a reason that copal resin is so sacred to the regions where it's found in Mexico, Central America and South America. Extracted from what are believed to be medicinal trees, the wood-scented resin is actually not yet hard enough to be a resin and not soft enough to be a sap. Tap into its state of transition by burning the copal resin, and allowing its purifying smoke to transform your home, spirit and crystals with the power of positivity. In this pack, you'll not only get the copal resin, you'll also receive the charcoal round on which to burn it with safety and ease!

Considered the sacred blood of healing trees, copal resin has been used for centuries as everything from a divine offering to incense. Both the ancient Aztecs and Mayas used copal resin on their pyramids, and even in their sacred burial grounds. Today, we use it as a way to infuse our space with purity and uplifting vibrations. Copal connects to the crown chakra, cleansing the mind of negativity and grounding you in the determination to create constructive shifts in your life.

Begin by lighting the charcoal round on a fireproof surface. When the charcoal begins to turn white, drop a couple of pieces of copal resin onto the charcoal. Then charcoal will continue to burn the resin until it's all gone!

Use copal resin properties when the energy of your space seems to be feeding into your anxiety. Copal healing properties will help cleanse the negative energy, as well as set a new foundation of energy that nourishes you with tranquility, instead. Copal resin is especially powerful when burned on your sacred altar as an offering to the divine. It is said to invite the energy of creation, which may help you to welcome new life into the areas of your existence that could use a little revitalizing.
