Copal Resin: Harvested from the trees of the Burseraceae family, copal is a natural resin between two states — it is neither hardened resin nor sap. Since ancient times, copal has been considered sacred to the people of Mexico and Central and South America. Mayan and Aztec priests burned it atop their pyramids as offerings to the gods, and it remains prized today for its clean, woody scent and ability to clear away negativity and inspire peace and positivity.
