Goldstone is a shimmering man-made crystal crafted by artisans since at least the Middle Ages. Its long and storied history is closely tied to the study of alchemy, and indeed, this gem undergoes a magnificent transformation as it forms. According to legend, Italian monks first crafted Goldstone by adding Copper Oxide to molten glass. When the glass cooled, the Copper had reformed as octahedral-shaped crystals that gave the glass its signature brilliant sparkle. For centuries, Goldstone was prized among aristocrats for its otherworldly shimmer. Today, we continue to treasure this singular gem for the incredible energy it holds.
