Silver-sheen Obsidian Moon on Stand
Reflect Ground Renew
Dark at first glance, then it catches the light and flashes silver. Silver-sheen obsidian is known as a mirror stone, inviting you to see yourself clearly and let go of what's weighing you down. Carved into a crescent, the symbol of every fresh start, it's made to anchor your space and your intentions. Set it where you'll see it every day.
About this piece
Some stones show you everything at once. Silver-sheen obsidian makes you look closer.
Formed when volcanic lava cools too quickly to crystallize, obsidian is natural glass. In silver-sheen obsidian, tiny gas bubbles trapped during that cooling create a shimmer that only appears when light hits the surface at the right angle. Turn it slightly and a silvery glow moves across the dark stone. It never looks quite the same twice.
That hidden shimmer is part of its meaning. Silver-sheen obsidian is known as a mirror stone, one that invites honest self-reflection. It's a reminder to look clearly at what's working, what isn't, and what you're ready to release. Like all obsidian, it's also known for its grounding, protective energy, helping absorb heaviness so it doesn't settle into your space.
We had it hand-carved into a crescent moon, a shape tied to new beginnings and the start of each lunar cycle. The crescent marks the moment something new starts to take shape, which makes this piece a natural centerpiece for new moon intention setting.
It sits on a slim black metal stand, so it's ready to display on a shelf, desk, nightstand, or altar. Place it somewhere you pass often, where the light can catch it throughout the day.
This is a piece meant to be seen. Let it be your daily reminder to pause, reflect, and begin again whenever you need to.
Every piece is natural, so the banding, sheen, and exact size will vary slightly from the photos.
How to use it
- Set it where light moves. A windowsill, shelf, or desk with natural light brings out the silver sheen as the day changes.
- Use it for new moon intentions. On the new moon, sit with your crescent, write down one intention, and leave the note beside it for the month.
- Make it a reflection point. When you pass it, take a breath and ask yourself one honest question: What am I ready to let go of?
- Cleanse it monthly. Clear it with sound, smoke, or moonlight, especially at the start of each lunar cycle. Wipe it with a soft dry cloth.
