Light your Palo Santo log at one end and allow the flame to catch. Lightly blow on it and immerse yourself in its sacred smoke. Holding the incense in both hands, visualize and say your intentions or prayers aloud.
You can also place a charcoal disc in a fireproof dish, a bowl filled with rice, or an incense burner. Light the charcoal until you can see flickering embers and sparks all over it. (If you do not heat the charcoal to the point where it lights, it will not be hot enough and your panto log will not begin to smoke). Place a palo santo log on top of the charcoal to purify and clear your energy and environment.
Your home should be a place where you can relax and rejuvenate for the day ahead. To keep your home vibing with positive energy, it’s important to cleanse the space. In fact, we recommend doubling down on your energy cleansing by also burning Sage Leaves, an earthy smell that helps balance the sweet smell of palo santo. When you burn both of these cleansing tools, first the cleansing sage and then the uplifting palo santo, it makes your purifying practice even more powerful.
Ask the plant medicine spirit of the palo santo to be there with you, and ask that it assist in purifying and cleansing you, your space, and your crystals.
Smoke your space. Open your front door and all of the windows in the house to allow the unwanted energy to be released. Say these words out loud or silently: “I ask that the plant spirit of Palo Santo please bring blessings into the space.'”
While you are cleansing your home with palo santo, take this time to also cleanse your crystal collection. Let the smoke of burning palo santo completely envelop each gemstone while you thoughtfully remind yourself of the intention you have set for it. Ask that the burning palo santo cleanse and activate its frequencies, releasing it from any previous programming or unwanted energy.
Finally, to clear away any unwanted energy from any hands that have touched your crystals before you, immerse them in the sacred smoke of the Palo Santo. Palo Santo is a powerful cleansing tool, especially when you use it with clear and focused intention.
