Copal is a natural tree resin that comes from a family of trees known as Bursera. It is considered sacred to the people of South and Central America, going as far back as the Mayan and Aztec cultures. Mass quantities of copal resin were burned atop the Aztec and Mayan pyramids as an offering to the gods.

Copal Incense is completely natural incense used to purify the energy of places, spaces and things. It has a clean, light, woody scent similar to pine or turpentine. It is a great incense for clearing negative energies and making positive changes. It has an extremely positive and loving energy that will help bring a peaceful energy to your home. We cleanse all our jewelry and office rooms with this incense because of its powerful clearing energy!

Place your Copal Incense sticks in a bowl standing upwards. We fill our bowl with white rice to keep the sticks standing as well as catch any ashes that may fall from the incense. Light your incense sticks and let the smoke fill the room. After the smoke has remained in the room for 5-10 minutes, open your doors to let the room air out.

To cleanse your jewelry with the Copal Incense, hold your piece above the incense stick, immersing it in the smoke. When your piece is cleansed, it will stop moving back and forth and be still.

That extra something

"I absolutely love these copal sticks. I kept feeling as if something was missing when I would cleanse my crystals and tools with just sage or Palo Santo, so I decided to give these a try. I’m SO glad I did bc I really feel as though these are the something extra that was missing from my crystal cleansing and meditation practices. They seem a little pricey for incense at first thought, but once you use them you’ll find that they burn FOREVER and you can keep relighting the same stick for multiple uses, that plus the energy they bring really makes them worth every penny and more. These smell somewhat like cedar- they’ve got a really comforting smell that’s just right. It’s not faint at all, but it’s definitely not overpowering. This copal makes me feel so good that I honestly wish I could burn it in my space wherever I am- seriously, they’re that good. Everything just FEELS so much better once I’ve lit one of these; it’s a feeling I can’t describe with words so I really hope you’ll try them and find out for yourself. If you’re feeling like maybe something is missing, or you want a tool to take your practice to the next level, I HIGHLY recommend these. The only warning I would give about these is when it comes to lighting them- especially the very first time at the beginning of the stick. PLEASE be very cautious and light them over a fireproof container. These like to pop when being lit and some of the incense drips off like napalm, in little burning drops of liquid fire. Just be aware and be careful, friends! Other than that, these are incredible!"
