Love and light is a powerful component of healing, and while you never want to bypass your raw emotions and real feelings, it is helpful to realize that the light always surrounds you – even when you don’t feel or see it. Reflection & Journaling

Why it matters: Though it’s powerfully healing to move through lower vibration emotions that bubble up, it’s also important to give energy to the more positive moments in our lives so we do not overlook or forget them. This reflection will focus on the light and positive aspects of your life as a reminder that there is always light around you.  

How to Get Started: Reflect on the past month, taking a look back at the moments of joy, happiness, light, and positivity that you have experienced over the past month – no matter how big or small.

• What brings you happiness and joy? What uplifts you? 
• When did you experience happiness or joy in the last month?
• What does happiness look like when it’s happening to you?
• When you’re in a state of happiness, how do you react? (Do you smile, laugh, observe, etc)
• How does this make you feel on a physical and emotional and mental level?
• How would being able to access and tap into the light more frequently change your life?
• What can you do each day to bring more light to your life and spirit?

Crystal tip: Hold a crystal of your choice (we love Clear Quartz!) in your non-writing hand while you journal to filter out any distractions and bring more clarity to your reflection. 

Create A Timeline of the Emotion 

Why it matters: This exercise guides you to create a timeline of how enjoyment and happiness has presented itself in your life. By the end of this exercise, you will be able to see the timeline of this emotion throughout your life.

How to do it: Download the Timeline Your Happiness worksheet to go further back in time – as far back as you can remember. Pocket any experiences, instances, or even thoughts that you can remember into the age that they occurred.

Crystals for Happiness and Light

One of the most powerful crystals for tapping into the light is Clear Quartz. Clear Quartz can work like a spam filter for your mind, helping you scan for mental “garbage” so you can delete it. This allows you to rise above your erratic thoughts, insecurities, or lower vibrational words to an elevated state where you can let in the light. The high vibrations of a Clear Quartz crystal also work to raise your energetic vibration. From this new, higher state of being, you can connect with your highest self and live in alignment with a higher frequency.

Clearing Darkness with Selenite

Why it matters: After reflecting, journaling, and time-lining this emotion, it’s time to clear away and release the stored experiences from your energy field that prevent you from raising your inner light. For this exercise, you’ll be using Selenite. Selenite is perfect for this practice because it fills you with pure, white light as it clears away any residual lower vibrational energy from your system. This leaves your entire being at the highest possible frequency.

How to do it: Hold your Selenite in your right hand and make a fist. Hold your Selenite about 6 inches in front of your fore- head and your left hand about 6 inches in back of your head. Now switch the placement of your hands - left in front and right in back - in a sweeping motion over the crown of your head. Repeat this motion as you visualize the Selenite clearing your mind of any cluttered thoughts.

Crystal Tip: To take your energy clearing practice one step further, use a Black Kyanite crystal to cut the cords with sadness after you’ve cleared your energy with Selenite. The sword-like energy of Black Kyanite cuts any remaining energetic attachments to lower vibration experiences or feelings so you can fully release darker energies from your mind, body, and spirit. 

Program Your New State 

Why it matters: As a final step, it’s time to replace darkness with a higher vibrational frequency. To shift out of a state of darkness, you will be guided to reprogram yourself on a cellular level with the energy of light and positivity. Now is the time to choose one of the crystals for enjoyment discussed previously to use as your touchstone for a higher state of being. 

How to do it: Hold your crystal of choice over your crown chakra and say out loud or in your head, “I am filled with the highest vibrations of light and love.” Repeat this intention for a total of 7 times while allowing the crystal to purify and transmute any low vibrational energy.
