From Our Founders: Heather Askinosie & Timmi Jandro
There’s no hiding it -- healing crystals are the reason we’re here today. But it takes more than crystals to be successful, and today we’re sharing our 3 biggest recommendations for anyone looking to take that next step in their career. Launching a career in the wellness industry is unique in that it isn’t just work, it’s also your life. When your passion and purpose become interwoven with your professional career, it can be gratifying and fulfilling, but it’s also a different experience for many of us than other jobs we’ve had in the past. So here’s what we’ve learned over the past 20 years:
Do What You Love
The #1 lesson is to be passionate about what you do. As the saying goes, when you love what you do, you never work a day in your life. Although that might not be entirely accurate, the work you do is definitely more meaningful and you can feel confident that the effort you put into your work has a positive impact on your life and the lives of others.
Do What You Do Best
We’re all good at something, but we’re not all good at everything. The key is to know what you are good at and focus on that. Rather than trying to do it all and not seeing the results you want, dedicate yourself to the aspects of your work that create the most impact and you will be more effective and efficient with your time.
Don’t Forget Why You Started
As a spiritual entrepreneur, we can get swept away by the demands of business or the constant changes around us, but it’s important to always remember the mission you are on and make sure every step you take is in alignment with that higher purpose. When you are guided by your authentic truth and your reason for doing what you do, you’ll always have a strong foundation and a path forward.
