Seriously, how do you expect us to pick a handful of favorites when there were so many jaw dropping highlights to come out of the Tucson Gem Show?! We saw some of the world’s most famous mineral specimen, were soothed to the floor by crystal singing bowls, sat on benches carved of amethyst, and everywhere we looked, there were piles of crystals charging in the sun. Hundreds of vendors travelled from across the globe to exhibit their rare and spectacular specimen for the world’s largest gem showcase. As we talked with each of them, bonding over the treasures they brought, we remarked on the immense power that crystals have to bring people together. It didn’t matter how calm our morning meditation got us, the second we walked into the show, the buzzing of competing crystal frequencies zapped the calm right out of us. The sheer amount of energy coming from this year’s crowd of over 55,000 people was overwhelming on its own, but add to that the fusion of high vibrational energies being cast off of troves of healing crystals, and you can imagine the intensity felt by all. Regardless of how many times we go, it never changes. We are always taken aback by the amount of unique finds and something always manages to take our breath away. Sound Healing with a Real Life Quan Yin
We were at a low in our energy and drive by the end of our trip when we stumbled into a room of singing bowls. Heather laid on the floor and prepared to be washed with the vibrations of the crystal bowl, but was instead met with the married harmonies of the bowl and a real life Quan Yin. A woman dressed in white, with a voice to match the purity of her clothes, had sat down next to Heather begun singing along with the bowl. She radiated positivity, and her joy was contagious. Our mood was immediately lifted and we left the room feeling more energized than when we went in.
Electric Shungite
All of the vibes felt in Tucson were electric, but a scientific demonstration proved that Shungite’s electric conductivity was more than figurative! Did you know that Shungite is the one crystal that can conduct electricity? We didn’t!
Bumblebee Jasper
Yes, we FINALLY found it. It is a notoriously difficult mineral to score because the volcanic mine where Bumblebee Jasper is located has recently activated from its previously non-dormant state. Yikes!
The Herbal Junction
These were the most magical herbal elixir pick-me-ups of our lives! We stopped by for a “magic potion” almost everyday for a little recharge. The herbal mixologists at this little pop-up from Colorado simply asked you for what you wanted to feel like after and created the concoction of your dreams! There was an herbal formula for everything! Lifting your spirits up, a boost in brain power, radiant beauty and more.
Out of this World Included Quartz
There were whole worlds within the amazing Included Quartz crystals we found. Some new pockets of mines were found to have pyrite and calcite cube inclusions. Every included quartz develops in a way that is special to that crystal; they all have a story that is unique to them. Experiencing the Magic of Blue Lace Agate
We met the son of the proprietor who discovered the famed Blue Lace Agate mine in South Africa. He showed us Blue Lace Agate in its raw form, and it was just as extraordinary as when it’s polished.
Selenite from Chihuahua, Mexico
Next to the Naica mine, the most famous selenite mine and arguably one of the most renowned crystal mines in the world, are several other selenite mines that produce just as large and pure selenite crystals. The selenite’s appearance was as pure as its energy.
Aura Crystals
It’s a good thing someone already named these, because if it were up to us, they’d be called Magical Unicorn crystals. Enough rainbow vibes beam from these whimsical crystals to inspire a fairytale!
